Organic farming practices by cooperative

By Mousumi Halder | Project Contributor

Cow dung is the best fertilizer
Cow dung is the best fertilizer

Now a days, human is using chemical fertilizer and hybrid seeds for high yield production but this excess use of chemical loses the fertility rate of soil and increase the cost of production. By thinking about sustainable production, Sundarbans Resources Harvesters Cooperative Society is trying to go back in the old practice that native seed and organic fertilizer like household garbage, cow dung etc. is using for production.

Want to mention that this group is producing vegetable and also fruits that can be able to satisfy their family need and also marketing in the local market.

They are hopeful to scaleup the production and reached  the national market. To do this work, all of the members are optimistic that this online platform will help them to establish the dream.

BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.

We would like to thank all our donors for being so kind to us so far. We are requesting all our kind donors to start monthly recurring donations. For recurring donation, please visit the followinglink; https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/livelihood-improvement-for-fishermen-families/
