Bangladesh Environment and Development Society is a non govt. non profitable organization that has been working for the coastal community in the southern part of Bangladesh. In this area, people are living below the poverty line and BEDS are working as a back bone organization for the Sundarbans Resources Harvesters Cooperative Society which is known as BANOJIBI. These cooperative members are rearing different livestock like cow, duck, sheep, hen and so one. One of them is cow that is providing the milk and meat which they can sell and earn a handsome money that can be contribute in their family income.
Cooperative members want to increase the quantity so that they can earn more and contribute in their family income and also their can serve their children study purpose.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.
