Supporting Rural Health Centres in Ethiopia

In the heart of Ethiopia, were life beats with energy, a new ray of hope shines bright. Thanks to the generous support of caring donors, we're embarking on a journey to improve the health of communities in Ethiopia. Today, we're excited to share our latest endeavour: a groundbreaking project designed to revolutionize healthcare delivery and combat Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). 

This project has two main parts, both carefully planned to help fix health problems in Ethiopian communities. We recognize that to effect lasting change, we must both bolster the supply of NCD treatment and care while simultaneously nurturing a culture of wellness and proactive healthcare-seeking behaviours. So, we're going to help Health Extension Workers (HEWs) to expand their roles as guardians of community health. They'll get extra training and support so they can check on people with health problems and also find new cases. Their hard work will give hope to everyone, leading us towards a brighter, healthier future.  

But there's more to our plan. We believe that learning is the key to change. So, we're going to spread the word about healthy living and signs of sickness together with HEWs. We want everyone to know how to stay healthy and why it's essential to seek medical attention early if they feel unwell. And we're not stopping there! We have big dreams for the future. We're going to try using a special children's book to teach kids about being healthy. We believe that by teaching children, we can help whole families make better choices and break free from sickness.
