AGAPE CENTRE FIRST QUARTER ACTIVITY REPORT 2026
FUNDRAISING FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AGAPE CENTER
AGAPE TEAM Organized a happy and successful first fundraising solidarity football tournament on the 12th December 2026 with the objective to raise funds to cater for the urgent needs of the children. This was made possible with the personnel involvement of our Volunteer Yann, FABAFRIC, BELIFE and other special Volunteers. Thank you! Five football teams enrolled namely AGAPE center, MIMBO FC, CCA bank, Beneficial Prudential (BELIFE) Insurance, Mister Clean Company. The finals were played by Mister clean team and MIMBO FC Mister Clean carried the day and went home with the trophy. The matches were exciting, pulled a large crowd and offered an opportunity for relaxation, camaraderie and networking. Look forward to Edition 2.
CHRISTMAS PARTY 2026 FOR AGAPE CHILDREN
A joyous Christmas party was successfully organized on the 18th December 2025 and the children had lots of fun.
ABOUT THE CHILDREN
Children are doing great but for one of our special boys, aged nine who came into the center at five. Rescued from the street abandoned by both parents, he was epileptic and often had sleeping/absence crisis. After being put on treatment by a neurologist his crisis have gone fortunately but he is becoming hyperactive and even violent at times. We are working on ways to calm him down and to seeing both the neurologist and a psychologist with him.
VOLUNTEERS
The intern Yann Senyanna from EDHEC Business School was very instrumental for the resounding success registered during the solidarity football tournament. His internship ended on the 19th December 2025 with flying colors. We miss him and are grateful for this partnership with EDHEC that always impacts our children and work. We look forward to welcoming one intern from EXCELIA Business School in May and two from EDHEC Business School in June 2026 all from France.
They will help with fundraising, support education, create leisure activities and very importantly, channel the children especially during vacation time to avoid bad behaviors.
POULTRY FUNDRAISING PROJECT
A fourth batch of 100 chicks will be launched this March ending. The third cycle faced slow marketing challenges. We are adjusting on how to improve on our marketing strategies to sell faster.
CHALLENGES
•Children’s nutrition
• Health care
• Staff salaries
We still struggle to get funds for first necessity goods and would greatly appreciate assistance.
IN PERSPECTIVE
We plan to organize a fundraising gala and football tournament by the last quarter of this year.
