She got so very thirsty sitting in kindergarten today. She could not concentrate on her animal puzzle,. All she could think about was how she was thirsty! She did not know what it meant when the teacher said it was 95 degrees both inside and outside. All she knew was that it was “Wow HOT!” As soon as the Recess bell rang, she hurried out to get her cup and the fresh clean water. It was oh, so good! It went down very smoothly and was so very refreshing. She knew that it made her feel good!
She had never heard of world organizations who worked hard to set global safe water standards, She was just learning that her village was in a place called "the world". And most certainly, she did not know there were people who were concerned about disease control and water quality. If she had she might have asked "What's that mean"? And she did not know the sticker on the water container where she got her water said "MEDRIX". She did not know it meant that great people across the world had donated to the MEDRIX organization so she and her class friends would have the fresh safe clean water to quinch their thirst and help make her and her classmates healthy. But she surely knew that the water tasted so good! And, she surely liked her kindergarten and the kids in her small village in Vietnam.
Now that her thirst was quinched she wanted to do nothing else than play tag at recess and then go back to finish her animal puzzle and practice her A, B, C’s. What would she have done if the preschool did not have safe water?
MEDRIX thanks you and others who have supported MEDRIX projects for SAFE water for hundreds of children in Vietnam’s rural preschools and kindergartens. Join us today to provide life-saving water for 3 more preschools and kindergartens in rural Vietnam.
Your MEDRIX Team,
Sharing resources for safe water and health education in rural areas of Central-Vietnam.
