Our experience of working with women and girls to promote menstrual hygiene in Karangura Subu county has given up an insight to extend the campaign to boys and men so as to create more opportunities for the girl child to receive support needed while both at home and at school. The boys targeted are the brothers and other young male relatives in the girls' homes while men are the fathers, uncles and other male relatives.
We have organised a workshop for women, girls, boys and men in Karangura Sub county in the last week of March, 2018 so as to sensitise men and boys that they are also of value in promoting menstrual hygiene. We are optimistic that with the boys and girls on board, girls and women will be given more support. We will keep you updated on the events that will follow in regard to this new strategy.
We appreciate your generosity in this campaign of promoting menstrual hygiene in Karangura Sub county.
