We are thrilled to share with you the impactful journey of our Sanitary Towels for Girls program, a vital initiative undertaken by Joy for Children Uganda to address menstrual hygiene challenges faced by girls in Uganda. Your unwavering support has been the driving force behind the positive transformations we've witnessed.

In many parts of Uganda, girls encounter significant barriers related to menstrual hygiene. Limited access to sanitary towels not only affects their physical well-being but also hinders their education and self-esteem. Joy for Children Uganda recognized this critical issue and launched the Sanitary Towels for Girls in rural schools program to provide a sustainable solution.

Our primary goal is to empower girls with the dignity they deserve, ensuring they can manage their menstrual hygiene with confidence and without interruption.

Beyond the distribution of sanitary towels, we are committed to educating girls about menstrual hygiene, breaking down taboos, and fostering a supportive environment.

By addressing menstrual hygiene challenges, we aim to contribute to increased school attendance and academic performance among girls in the communities we serve.

Over the reporting period, we have successfully distributed sanitary towels to  girls, making a tangible impact on their day-to-day lives.

Our team has conducted educational workshops and awareness campaigns, creating a platform for open discussions about menstrual health and hygiene.

Through collaboration with local communities, we have initiated conversations to reduce stigma, promote understanding, and create a supportive network for girls.

While progress has been significant, challenges such as logistical complexities and the need for sustained support remain. However, your generosity fuels our determination to overcome these obstacles and continue our mission.

Our journey doesn't end here. We are committed to reaching more girls in remote areas, ensuring inclusivity in our program.
