Share Child Opportunity Eastern and Northern Uganda - SCOEN is working to see that school environment is friendly and conducive to learners especially a girl child who is always volunarable to my condition. Schools is a place where children spend most of their time than home.
In the rural schools of soroti most school have shared latrines teachers, boys and girls share the same latrines this can force girls children out of school.
SCOEN still has got 3 latrines strated to work on but we are stuck we cant continue because of funds the schools are doing badly teachers, girls and boys are share one latrine and this has indreased the number school drop out for especially girl children who donot find privancy while using the facilities.
SCOEN appeals for any support kind or even financial to help SCOEN provide safer girls with friendly sanitation facilities to ensure increased school attendance bygirls during menstruation and increase the number of girls with qualifications.
Currently there are no works on going on because we are short of funds however the parent and caregivers have contribute locally avilable materials like bricks, aggregates and sand. The works shall soon resume once we secure more funds and this is possible with the help of generous people like you!
