Dear GlobalGiving Community,

We are writing to share our quarterly update on our "Close the Lunch Gap" initiative. Since our last report, our fundraising has remained at $170 from our three generous donors. While we have not secured additional funding this quarter, we remain steadfast in our commitment to eliminating school lunch debt barriers that prevent nearly 14 million U.S. children from accessing the reliable nutrition they desperately need.

Progress This Quarter:

Our team has continued building relationships with local school districts and has identified specific schools where 12 million students now risk losing access to free or reduced-price meals. Through our outreach efforts, we've heard directly from families struggling with impossible choices—78% report food costs more than last year—forcing parents to choose between meals, gas, or utilities while their children arrive at school hungry, unable to focus, and falling behind in class.

Community Impact Focus:

Through our research and family engagement, we've documented how lunch debt affects not only individual students but entire families. One mother shared with us: "Free meals meant I could buy groceries that lasted until payday." Many parents report feeling embarrassed when their children cannot afford school meals, and students often go hungry rather than face the stigma of unpaid lunch debt. Our program aims to restore dignity while ensuring no child is denied food because their family is struggling financially.

Looking Forward:

In the next quarter, we will intensify our donor outreach efforts, launch targeted social media campaigns, and stand ready to initiate the processing of our first debt relief payments to partner schools once adequate funding becomes available. We remain committed to transparency and will provide detailed reporting on the impact of every dollar as we work toward our goal of serving hundreds of students across our target communities.

With gratitude and determination,
A A Relief Team
