From April to November of this year, we provided the workshop to 1301 minors in 58 gatherings, of which 7 were online and 51 in person. 334 parents or guardians attended the workshops.
April 2 is International Autism Day, this is why the Corazones Azules Foundation decided to commemorate with a PASI workshop. The workshop was delivered differently, with pictograms of child sexual abuse, so minors would grasp it.
We deliverd it in 2 towns of the Department of Antioquia (Carmen del Viboral, 54km. from Medellín, and Pueblorico, 118 km away). All attendees were minors, quiet, attentive to the teachings, they carried out the activities and enjoyed receiving the material “Cuentos que no son cuentos”.
We had agreements with education centers, childcare organizations, and federal police, in order to reach many more children and their families.
When the parents or guardians of those children received the workshop, some shared child sexual abuse experiences of their childhoods. Some of those stories are charged with sadness, and as they shared them, they received a message of hope.
We are certain that the seed we have planted will yield its fruit.
Together we can make a difference in the lives of our children!
