PROJECT OF PREVENTION OF SEXUAL ABUSE ON CHILDREN (PASI)
In 2020 the PASI project was planned to take it to 4.000 children with their parents-tutors. Today, we are really happy because we have only 140 children left to reach the goal.
At the beginning of this current year the workshop was held to 36 minors form the Municipality of Rionegro – Antioquia, which is located 29 miles form Medellín. We are very happy for taking this project to new places withing the Department of Antioquia. (State of Antioquia).
We had a very significative experience at “My Dreamt World” Children Center, located in San Javier neighborhood, where we presented the PASI to more or less 120 underaged people from tow to five years old. It was striking to see how three years old children easily identified their private and public parts and the application of the workshops was very entertaining for them. We do believe that this is so because of the protective environment they had at home, the Children Center and the PASI that empower the children by giving them an active and confident attitude when recognizing evil intentions, allowing them to take actions that minimize the risk of being sexually abused.
Within the Fundación Tiempo de Paz we also reinforce the commitment of the PASI project with our own children, taking new workshops to 21 minors from San Javier Children Center and to 29 minors from Boston Children Center by doing activities that remind them the characteristics that boys and girls have, providing them with identity and safety.
