ADVANCES IN THE INCUBATION OF SEA TURTLE EGGS.

Currently, we are working to continue with the conservation of the sea turtles that nest on our beach.

30,000 eggs of the Lepidochelys olivacea species have been collected, it is a species vulnerable to extinction worldwide according to the IUCN red list, with a birth rate of 85%, with 25,500 newborns released

With the earmarked fund, it has been possible to give economic support, in the form of payment for the effort to collect the eggs, to community hatchers, of which we have 150 in our community database. This means that the project supports 150 families in the coastal community.

Our nursery has been able to incubate 350 nests, it has been possible to carry out cleaning and temperature control, managing the nursery to have good conditions for the effectiveness in the birth of newborns.
