Dear Supporter,
Here in northern Syria, your support provided a successful surgery for a 12-year-old boy, ending his suffering from a rare disease that almost cost him his life. Medical literature has documented 100 cases of this condition worldwide.
Investigations revealed a rare case of internal jugular vein dilation exceeding 5 cm.
Due to the large and growing size of the vein and the hoarseness caused by the compression of nearby nerves, surgical intervention (vein wrapping) in one of our hospitals with a Dacron graft was performed. This avoided the need for vein resection, anastomosis, or ligation.
With your continued support of the surgical sponsorship program in northern Syria, we were able to manage the 101st case of this condition globally and give our child a new life.
Thank you for helping us continue this journey of giving.
