Many regions in Sudan are facing a severe crisis in accessing safe drinking water, as this basic necessity has become a daily struggle for thousands of families, especially in affected areas and displacement camps.
Families are forced to rely on unsafe water sources such as contaminated wells or surface water due to damaged infrastructure and limited services. This significantly increases the risk of disease outbreaks, particularly among children and the elderly.
Field observations show that many families must walk long distances to obtain limited amounts of water or reduce their consumption to a minimum, directly impacting their health and living conditions.
Providing safe drinking water through water trucking, well drilling, and establishing secure distribution points is one of the most critical emergency humanitarian interventions. It helps save lives, improve health conditions, and reduce the spread of diseases.
We emphasize that continuing this support is an urgent humanitarian necessity. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone contributing to these efforts. With your support, we can quench the thirst of those in need and restore hope.
