Dear Donors,
Thank you for your concern for newborn babies in Nigeria who face life-threatening risks in their first days of life. Your support reflects a shared desire to protect infants born in underserved communities.
Nigeria records one of the highest newborn mortality rates globally. Many rural health centers lack basic neonatal equipment such as warmers, resuscitation devices, and sterile supplies. Health workers may also lack up-to-date training in essential newborn care. As a result, babies born with breathing difficulties, infections, or low body temperature do not receive timely intervention. This project will equip rural clinics with neonatal care kits and provide hands-on training for midwives and health workers in thermal care, resuscitation, infection prevention, and breastfeeding support. Ongoing supervision will help maintain quality standards and reinforce skills.
At present, no donations have been received, and funding is required before equipment procurement and training can begin. We kindly invite you to support or share this initiative so more newborns can survive their critical early days.
With sincere appreciation,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
