Empowering Disabled People with Solidarity !!

By Deepak Sharma | CEO

Respected Donor Namaste!

Some people in society are harsh and cruel towards Disabled people and this is very bad. Disabled people live a life in which they hide from other people always. Disability is like a curse till today and this is the reason why disabled people are not involved in the community and they do not know their rights. Disabled people start thinking that they are of no use and this is why they do not to anything. Disabled people live their life with this type of pessimistic thinking and do not get involved in the community.

RSKS India is running a project for the benefit of disabled people. Health, education, employment, empowerment, social security work is done under this project with around 500 disabled people from 16 villages. RSKS formed DPO (Disabled People Organization) for the involvement & solidarity of disabled people in the community. With the help of DPO, disabled people are organized and then awareness is spread amongst them. Every month DPO meetings are organized by RSKS Team members in which disabled acts, schemes, social security schemes etc details are discussed.

Disabled pension, disabled certificate, Rail and Bus pass, Disabled schemes etc benefits are given to disabled people under this project. Along with this their involvement in the community is being increased with the help of DPO. All the disabled people are working together for the benefit of all through this program and in result they received special category job card by the department. RSKS is providing guidance and awareness to the disabled people so that they will be empowered. To increase the involvement of disabled people in the community, DPO members participate in the work, village meeting etc. of the official. Change in the thinking of community people can be seen by the implementation of the Project and now disabled people are getting their rights and respect in the community.

Once again thank you so much for your valuable Support.

Many Regards
