Under this campaign, with the help of GG and the donors, RSKS is continuously working on the campaign of saving sparrows as sparrows are continuously decreasing in numbers and are coming near to extinction. This is happening because of deforestation, increasing pollution, tall buildings and radiation from mobile towers. All of these things are becoming a problem to sparrows and will be the cause of their extinction and it is very big problem. Continuous increase in mobile towers is very dangerous to the sparrows as they cannot build their nest because of that and it leads to their extinction.

With the help of donors and GG and RSKS, we made people aware of this bigger problem arising as the extinction of sparrow will lead to disturbance in the food chain. To save sparrows, RSKS made awareness programs at different places in their area so that people will be alerted to save sparrows. These programs led to the awareness of people as they started coming to the RSKS office to fill the form for having a nest at their house so that they can help in saving the sparrows. RSKS helped them by going to their house and building nest for the sparrows at their house at the correct place and then in 4-5 days, sparrows started coming at the nest. These do not litter dirt at their house and all the people are very happy because of that because people thought that these nest will make the house dirty.

Because of the support given by donors and GG, this work was possible and this made us very happy as it will help sparrows to not face extinction. After installing of the nest, RSKS did a routine checkup of the nest so that there will be no problem to the sparrow and the people. During this checkup of the nest, we found out that some of the sparrows started breeding as there were eggs in the nest. Because of all this, people started awareness amongst each other and started thanking RSKS for their continuous support in saving of sparrows.

My name is Roshan and I joined this organization because of this reason only. I love birds and animals as they are very important for the survival of human beings. I came to know about saving of birds and animals, how the awareness programs are done and many more things from RSKS only. For saving of sparrows, whatever things I did was a new experience to me. After all this work, RSKS gave me a sparrow nest and I placed it on my balcony. Next day I saw a sparrow in that nest and I was very happy seeing that and after few month I saw eggs of the sparrows which really gave me happiness because now I can daily listen to the sweet voice of baby sparrows. I thank RSKS for all this and I will work with the same determination always in this helping organization.
