Meet with Beneficiary Indira

RSKS INDIA is working for COVID-19 Humanitarian Relief and is always taking new steps for that.  From time to time we see the impact stories from ground by our feedback forms. Some of these real stories is shared in this report.

An Impact: Meet with Beneficiary Asha.....

Asha (Name Changed), a 25 - year-old woman living in village Rampura Dabla, is a handicapped woman. Asha is mentally handicapped due to which Asha's education was initially disrupted. Asha lives with her family in a hut with parents and siblings. Asha is totally dependent on her family. Asha's mother is also sick and due to this Asha's brother and sister take care of the entire house. Asha's father runs the house by working as labour but because of the treatment of Asha and her mother there is always financial problems in the house.

At the time of the Covid-19 epidemic, Asha and her family faced a lot of problems due to the unemployment of Asha's father. There were financial problems in the house and there was no ration available in the house. Under the covid-19 relief program of RSKS India, Asha got the aid of ration kit which included rice, flour, soap, salt, spices, etc. 20 KG ration material so that food security of her family for 3 weeks can be ensured as they didn’t had any money to buy this ration.

Asha definitely got a lot of help from the RSKS organization in getting a ration kit at the time of the harsh conditions of the house and she was able to get 3 weeks of food protection as well as a Hygiene kit to protect Asha and her family from Covid-19. This Hygiene kit had masks, sanitizers, handkerchief etc. using which Asha and his family were also protected from pandemic. Asha's family takes full care of her and wants Asha to be fully healthy in future and become self-sufficient, for which the whole family is trying together.

An Impact: Meet with Beneficiary Indira.....

Indira (Name Changed), a 34-year-old resident of Mangaliawas, an inaccessible regional village, is a handicapped woman. Indira is mentally challenged and has three daughters and mother in her family. Indira's mother has full responsibility of the home and children after Indira's husband's death in an accident. Indira's mother works in NREGA and after that on the fields and from that earning their livelihood is maintained. The disabled pension which Indira gets is also helpful in the house expenses but at the time of lockdown neither Indira's mother got employment nor did Indira get her pension due to which Indira faced a lot of problem in maintaining the house expenses.

At the same time when Indira and her family were going through a crisis, RSKS India extended a helping hand to Indira and her family under Covid-19 relief program of RSKS organization and with the support of GlobalGiving. Indira got the help of ration material under Disabled category which included rice, flour, oil, spices, sugar etc 20 kg ration material, accompanied by hygiene kit in which masks, sanitizers, handkerchief, etc were included. Indira and her family were protected from Covid-19 from this hygiene kit.

Indira and her family were made aware of Covid-19 and given information about cleanliness & sanitation in the house. Indira and her family got surety of 3 weeks of food from the ration kit. Now Indira and her family are getting two times meal at time. Now Indira's family is very happy.
