Dear GlobalGiving Community,

Thank you for standing with Lebanon’s orphaned children during an unprecedented economic collapse and ongoing instability. This crisis has pushed families beyond their limits, and children are among the most affected. Today, over 30% of Lebanese children go to bed hungry, and 77% of households cannot afford basic necessities such as food, shelter, and healthcare.

Orphaned children are particularly at risk because they lack stable family support systems and consistent access to essential services that protect their development and future.

Progress Update (This Quarter)

This quarter, we received our first donation toward this project, bringing total funding to $40 and launching our first monthly donor. We are deeply grateful for this early support it is a meaningful first step toward protecting children who have already lost so much.

While funding remains at an early stage, we used this period to strengthen readiness so we can begin delivering support quickly and responsibly as donations increase. Key progress included:

  • Continuing needs monitoring with local partners as conditions worsen for vulnerable children
  • Refining implementation planning for phased support (starting with the most urgent essentials)
  • Strengthening documentation and reporting processes to ensure transparent updates to donors

Community Need & Why This Project Matters

The need remains urgent and severe:

  • Lebanon’s economic collapse has left over 1.2 million children suffering.
  • Orphans face heightened risk of hunger, illness, interrupted education, and exploitation.
  • Without stable shelter, healthcare, and school support, children’s long-term development is threatened.

This project is rooted in dignity and protection. Orphaned children deserve safety, nourishment, education, and the chance to grow into healthy, capable adults.

Program Model (What Funding Will Deliver)

As funding grows, American Aid (A A Relief) will provide comprehensive, child-centered support, including:

  • Safe shelter and secure housing support
  • Nutritious meals and food security
  • Clothing and hygiene supplies
  • Healthcare access, including medical check-ups and vaccinations
  • Education support, school supplies, and pathways to vocational training
  • Psychosocial support and safe spaces for play, creativity, and trauma recovery

We will prioritize the most vulnerable cases and share transparent reporting on outputs and outcomes.

Challenges & Strategic Response

Primary Challenge: Funding is still far below what is needed to begin program delivery at meaningful scale.

Our response this quarter:

  • Strengthening local coordination and readiness so we can begin quickly as support grows
  • Building phased implementation plans to start with essentials (food, hygiene, shelter support) under partial funding
  • Improving documentation to build donor confidence through clear, accountable reporting

Next Quarter Plan (Pending Funding)

In the next quarter, as donations increase, we will:

  1. Finalize prioritization of orphan support cases through verified local channels.
  2. Begin phased delivery of essential support for the highest-risk children.
  3. Share clear reporting on outputs (children supported, essentials delivered) and outcomes (improved stability and well-being).

Expected Long-Term Impact

With sustained support, this program will:

  • Reduce hunger and preventable illness among orphaned children
  • Improve school attendance and educational continuity
  • Build emotional resilience through psychosocial care
  • Equip children with skills and pathways toward economic independence
  • Strengthen community stability by reducing long-term reliance on emergency aid

Thank you for being among the first to stand with Lebanon’s orphaned children through this project. Your support helps restore safety, dignity, and hopeand moves us closer to protecting a generation at risk.

With gratitude,

The American Aid (A A Relief) Team IRS-registered 501(c)(3)  all donations are tax-deductible
