Aleah's Journey: From Rescue to Thriving

Aleah's story is one of resilience and triumph. Poached for her scales, she was rescued just in time, though she was dehydrated and malnourished. With unwavering determination, she overcame her frail condition. In October, she began her release at a mere 5.83kg. Just three and a half months later, she now proudly weighs 9.15kg!

A heartfelt thank you to the monitoring team for ensuring her safety and well-being. Over a month ago, we shared Aleah's progress. Today, we are thrilled to report that she continues to thrive in her natural habitat, now weighing an impressive 9.58kg! Aleah's transformation from a vulnerable creature in need to a thriving individual is truly inspiring.

Nora and William: Embracing Freedom and New Beginnings

Nora and William, both survivors of the illegal wildlife trade, have shown remarkable resilience. Nora, a proud mom, has been successfully released back into the wild and is thriving. We are excited to share that she is expecting again! William, her adorable pup, is currently undergoing rehabilitation and progressing well. He will soon embark on his journey to freedom.

We made the tough decision to separate them to ensure Nora's timely release, giving her the best chance to carry her new pup to term. Since her release, Nora has gained 500g and settled beautifully into her new home. We look forward to a safe and healthy arrival of her new pup. Meanwhile, William's progress in rehabilitation continues to be encouraging.

Archie: A Journey of Survival and Growth

Looking at Archie now, it’s hard to imagine he was merely 280g when rescued. Thanks to his dedicated caretakers, Archie is down to one bottle of milk a day and is maturing into an independent pangolin, spending longer periods foraging in the field.

Tamu: Overcoming Adversity

Little Tamu was rescued from the illegal wildlife trade in early April with a severely infected foot and tested positive for biliary. Despite losing a toe, Tamu has made a full recovery. His latest blood work looks great, and he will begin his release program later this week. Tamu's resilience and recovery are truly remarkable.

Once again, thank you for your continued support and dedication to the cause of pangolin conservation. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these incredible creatures.
