This quarter from February 2026 to May 2026, MRC Nepal focused on opportunities of income generation for victim families affected by storm disaster. In this regards based on victim families demand and need MRC Nepal supported fresh vegetables production technology for raising long run income generation. In this regards MRC Nepal provided skill enhanced capacity building training, bio pesticide making training, seed and input support and continued technical backstopping support. Victim families are engaged in vegetable farming for household kitchen requirement as well as income generation from the sale of vegetable.
Reviewing this situation, MRC Nepal supported seed of vegetable which are market potential. Along with this MRC Nepal supported production materials, domestic pesticide preparation technology for organic vegetable production, capacity building training and technical backstopping support. As a result the victim families are able to produce vegetable and sell in the market. They are very happy with this income. The victim families are able to produce enough vegetables and earn attractive income from the selling of the vegetables which ensure nutrition security, food security and better livelihood from the increasing income. These victim families are pleased of getting support and thanked to GlobalGiving Donor and MRC Nepal.
