The Government of Bangladesh has so far relocated approximately 18,000 Rohingya refugees from the overcrowded Kutupalong refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar and resettled them in Bhasan Char, an island in the Bay of Bengal. OBAT has been supporting the refugees settled there through the help of different implementing partners.
In our efforts to support the wellness of the Rohingya refugees, we approved funding for 'Strengthening Health Services of 20 Bed Government Hospital – Bhasanchar’ Noakhali a project of OBAT Helpers. This grant is allocated for Medicine, Surgical equipment, and Blood bank establishment support in Bhasanchar Bangladesh.
We hope this grant will support the 20-bed Government Hospital in Bhasanchar to strengthen health services for the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMN) families living in Bhasanchar camp.
