OBAT's Health and Education Services for Rohingya Families

Health Project Highlights

In July 2025, OBAT’s Health Project continued to provide essential medical services to the Rohingya community, ensuring access to quality care and promoting healthier lives.

Key Achievements in July:

  • 2,115 medical consultations provided, addressing a wide range of health needs.

  • Effective treatment of 703 cases of acute respiratory infections, 264 skin disease cases, and 79 cases of acute watery diarrhea.

  • Support for 85 patients with non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.

  • Dental care for 91 patients, ensuring improved oral health.

  • 196 laboratory tests conducted, including dengue, malaria, and other diagnostics.

  • Emergency assistance for 12 patients and referrals for specialized treatment for 13 patients.

Ongoing Coordination & Capacity Building:

  • Active participation in Health Sector Meetings at both camp and Cox’s Bazar level, ensuring alignment with broader humanitarian health efforts.

  • Continuous reporting and data sharing with health sector partners through 4W Reports.

Education Project Highlights

OBAT’s Education Project remains dedicated to nurturing the potential of young learners, promoting inclusivity, and strengthening community involvement in education.

July 2025 Achievements:

  • Continued operations of 8 OBAT Learning Centers, serving 628 students (298 boys, 330 girls), including 8 children with disabilities.

  • Successful Community Education Support Group (CESG) meetings with 40 active members representing parents, community leaders, and educators.

  • Quarterly Parents Meeting with 240 parents, discussing learner attendance, cleanliness, school timetables, and academic progress.

  • Monthly Refresher Training provided to 12 teaching volunteers (4 host community and 8 Burmese), enhancing teaching skills and classroom management.

OBAT remains committed to improving health outcomes and educational opportunities for the Rohingya community. With the ongoing support of our generous donors, we will continue to provide vital services, strengthen community participation, and build hope for a brighter future.
