Blind Cat Rescue's Spay/Neuter program for 2023 has treated 2,039 cats so far and we are on track to reach our goal of 2,500 cats!
We continue to work with North Carolina TNR (trap-netuer-release) volunteers and cat colony managers in Scotland and Fayetteville (cities), as well as in Randolph, Guilford, Alamance, Davie, Forsyth, and Rockingham Counties. Their combined care and partnership with our veterinarian make this effort possible.
There are no other programs in North Carolina that do what we do - seek out community cat colonies, trap the all the cats in the colony, bring them to clinic for a spay or neuters and treat them for any other injuries or conditions they arrive with. We also vaccinate the cats and offer treatment for worms or other ailments. If we meet a cat that is not feral, we work hard and successfully find them homes.
Whatever an individual cat brings with him or her to our clinic, it is addressed and treated with compassion and an eye toward returing the cat to the best health possible. All this is done a a very low cost - $68 per cat.
Your support of this program means there will be fewer kittens born in community cat colonies to unhealthy mothers and very much at the mercy of the elements, predators and human cruelty. Thank you for being the difference for these cats who have no voice but yours.
