WMDA are very proud to annouce that there are now more than 43 million potential cures worldwide.
That's 43 million voluntary blood stem cell donors and cord blood units on WMDA's Search & Match Service. Each one offering hope and a second chance at life to patients with Leukemia and over 85 other life-threatening diseases.
We are incredibly grateful to the 43 million people around the world who have already registered as potential lifesavers and are ready to step up when someone needs them the most.
Signing up is simple, though the impact is profound. However, only 1 in 200 people are on the stem cell donor registry. Many join in hope of helping a loved one though the truth is, every single one of us has the power to save a stranger’s life.
Thanks to the financial donations from Global Givers, we are able to support donor registries worldwide and increase the number of stem cell donors and cord blood units available to patients.
