Children like Nava are waiting and wishing, and your gift could be the good news their families pray for.
Eight-year-old Nava should be spending her days dancing, drawing and singing along to her favourite songs. Instead, this bright and bubbly third grader from South Florida is fighting for her life. Doctors recently diagnosed Nava with leukemia, and her best chance for recovery is a blood stem cell or marrow transplant.
When Nava’s parents first noticed that their energetic little girl was becoming unusually tired and pale, they never imagined the words they would soon hear: “Your daughter has leukemia.” Their world turned upside down in an instant.
“Nava is the light of our lives,” said her parents. “Hearing the diagnosis was terrifying but knowing that a matching donor could save her gives us hope. We pray every day that someone out there will be her match.”
This season, as we reflect on what truly matters, family, love and hope, you can give Nava and children like her the greatest gift of all: a second chance at life.
Please consider making a Giving Tuesday donation to help us find matches for Nava and thousands of other patients still searching.
A few minutes of your time could change everything for Nava.
Together, we can make sure her light keeps shining bright.
