Dear donors,

Hello, it’s a pleasure to greet you. My name is Marisol, and I am Zapotec, originally from the community of Ayoquezco de Aldama, located in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca. I was a high school scholarship recipient from the Guadalupe Musalem Fund in the 2020-2023 academic cycle.

Being part of the Guadalupe Musalem Fund was a very enriching experience for me. I learned various things, developed skills and bonds with my fellow scholarship recipients. I enjoyed this process of being a scholar, building myself, and growing as a person. It involved overcoming insecurities, facing challenges, and discovering things about myself. Though the high school journey was not easy, the fund was always present, supporting me throughout the three years, and thanks to the generous contributions made by you as donors, I was able to successfully complete my high school studies.

Today, through this letter, I want to say: Thank you! Your donations contribute to indigenous women like me accessing education and continuing our studies. Your contributions help us cover educational expenses, such as school supplies, and even support our families economy. Your donations create not only changes in us but also in our families and communities. With the scholarship we receive, we carry out community work that provides assistance to address issues in our communities and helps us develop leadership skills.
