BOSANA FOUNDATION
Scholarship and Professional Development Program
January – April 2026
Executive Summary:
Our scholarship recipients experienced a productive first quarter, which started with the winter examinations and ended with the start of the next academic session.
As we finalize our strategic plan and organizational calendar, this new calendar year has already proven beneficial, especially in terms of raising awareness about our volunteer activities within the community.
The upcoming 12th Annual Benefit marks the most important event of the year, as its success will ensure that we can grow our scholarship program by taking in more students.
We look forward to the months ahead and value your continued support.
Scholarship Program Update:
January and February were dedicated to finals, and we can say that results were very good. Although we have no new graduates this quarter, our upcoming scholars are well-prepared for the future, having recently attended a "Kick Start Your Career" workshop in April to sharpen their job-hunting skills.
Here’s a look at the achievements of our students, highlighting their dedication to academia and Bosana:
Kick-start Your Career (KYC) Program 2026
Another year, another Kick Start Your Career workshop. This year we had a smaller graduating group, which gave the instructor more quality time which each participant. Throughout the program, participants gained invaluable insights into essential skills such as resume writing, crafting effective cover letters, interview preparation, and the development of crucial soft skills.
As previous years, program is designed with the primary goal of empowering students by equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate their job search journey successfully. We understand that securing job placements is a significant milestone; however, we also recognize the importance of personal growth and confidence-building that occurs during this process.
We look forward to continuing this journey in the coming years, further enhancing our curriculum and expanding our reach to empower even more students in their career pursuits.
Students for Humanity update:
"Students for Humanity" is a collaborative fund established by scholarship recipients from the Bosana Foundation. Each student contributes 2 KM per month, with Bosana matching these contributions. This initiative is supported by both current and former students, significantly enhancing the impact of this meaningful effort.
No new student-led assistance initiatives were started this quarter; however, a former beneficiary who received support a few years back, chose to give back to the program. Today, he holds a stable job and travels the globe.
When asked about the donation and his reasons to give back, he responded: "You were there for me at a moment when I truly needed support. That’s why I feel it’s only right to give back, knowing that somewhere, another student will feel that same relief and happiness."
This is exactly what BOSANA is trying to accomplish, providing students with assistance now so they can, in turn, assist others in the future.
