There are many needy young Afghan girls who would like to attend a quality school. Unfortunately, there are just not enough places and many private schools are too expensive for poor people. CHI provides scholarships to help girls in this situation. Girls get assistance with books, tuition and uniforms in schools in Herat and Kabul. Quite simply, enrolling in a quality school changes lives, giving girls the advantages that good education provides.
The private school run by Dr. Yacoobi provides students with a rounded education in academics, the arts, sports and spiritual/philosophical and life skills learning. As one teacher said, “Music classes give students the opportunity to challenge their abilities and to discover and promote their talents. They work with various musical instruments and singing getting technical music skill learning and providing the students with a time of self- expression, calmness and solace that comes from music. Instruments available include: guitar, piano, keyboard and voice. Singing includes cultural songs and all can be involved in performances at school events and public ceremonies.”
Thank you for your continued support for young people which enables them to get a good education.
CHI working towards: SDG Goal 4 – Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
