In August 2023, Kinza’s life changed forever. Her peaceful village in Jaranwala turned into a scene of chaos when a violent mob attacked her community. Her house was set ablaze, along with everything she cherished—her schoolbag, books, uniform, and precious stationery. The flames swallowed her small world, and she, along with her family, had to flee and hide for safety. The trauma of that night left her shaken and silent. School, once her favorite place, felt like a distant dream.
Amid the ashes of her loss, hope came in the form of AWARD Pakistan. Their team reached out to the affected families and offered support to help them rebuild their lives. Kinza was among the children who received an educational scholarship that covered her uniform, books, and stationery. With gentle encouragement and care, AWARD helped Kinza return to school.
Today, Kinza walks confidently into her classroom, her bag once again full of notebooks and dreams. The fear in her eyes has slowly been replaced with determination. She is catching up on her studies and enjoying time with friends. For Kinza, school is not just a place to learn—it’s a symbol of resilience, recovery, and the power of second chances.
