With springtime upon us, the children of Quang Tri Province will be looking to their kindergartens to provide nutritious meals and a safe place to play. PeaceTrees’ kindergartens are a space for growth and learning, and we thank you for your continued support!
Our scholarship program benefits ethnic majority communities where the consequences of the war persist today. Explosive remnants of war threaten the safety of children, and continue to affect families’ economic opportunities. As a result, children are often malnourished and undereducated. PeaceTrees’ kindergartens teach Vietnamese so that children ages 3 to 5 are able to succeed in primary school. In addition, we provide meals to give students the nutrients they need to grow and focus in school.
So far, your donations to this project have helped to provide 16 children with new books, healthy meals, and a safe educational environment. We hope that you’ll continue to support the kids in Quang Tri Province by helping us reach our funding goal of $15,000!
In Gratitude,
PeaceTrees Vietnam
