As the third term of the school year begins in Uganda, we at Good Cause Foundation Uganda would like to pause and say thank you to every generous donor, supporter, friend, and well-wisher who has heard the cries of vulnerable children and responded with kindness.
Your support means much more than a meal.
For a child in an underserved rural community, a breakfast or lunch can be the difference between coming to school hungry and coming to school with energy, confidence, and hope. When children know that there is food waiting for them at school, their appetite for learning grows, their joy in attending school increases, and the classroom becomes a place where they can dream again.
Feeding Children Is Also Feeding Their Dreams
Many children in the communities we serve come from families struggling to meet basic household needs. Some arrive at school without breakfast and may spend the entire day trying to learn while thinking about hunger.
A hungry child finds it difficult to concentrate, participate, interact with classmates, and fully benefit from lessons.
But when that same child receives a nutritious meal, something changes.
Their face lights up. They become more active. They participate in class. They interact with their friends. They have renewed energy to learn, play, and imagine a better future.
A meal brings comfort. A meal brings dignity. A meal brings hope.
This is why we believe that school feeding is not simply about providing food. It is an investment in education, child wellbeing, confidence, and the future of entire communities.
Thank You for Hearing Our Call
To everyone who has already donated to our school feeding efforts, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Every contribution, regardless of its size, has helped us move closer to our goal of ensuring that vulnerable children can learn without the burden of hunger.
Your generosity has told these children something powerful:
“You are not forgotten. Your education matters. Your future matters.”
We are deeply grateful to those who have stood with us when resources were limited and the needs were great. Your kindness has encouraged us to continue working with vulnerable schools and communities.
We also appreciate the GlobalGiving community for creating a platform where people from different parts of the world can come together to support children and communities they may never have met personally.
Because of you, a child in rural Uganda can receive more than food. They can receive a reason to smile, a reason to remain in school, and a renewed belief that tomorrow can be better.
As Term III Begins, the Need Continues
The new school term has now begun, and the needs of children have not disappeared.
Across underserved schools, children are returning to classrooms carrying dreams of completing their education. But for many families, providing daily meals alongside school requirements remains a major challenge.
That is why we are once again appealing to our generous GlobalGiving donors and supporters:
Please stand with us as we begin Term III.
Help us provide nutritious breakfasts and lunches to vulnerable children so that they can attend school with energy, dignity, and hope.
Your support can help a child begin the school day with a full stomach instead of hunger. It can help a learner concentrate during lessons instead of worrying about where their next meal will come from.
Every Contribution Can Make a Difference
We welcome contributions of all sizes.
Whether you give $10, $20, $25, $50, $100, or more, your generosity can contribute toward meals for children who need them.
We also recognize that some supporters may not be able to donate financially. You can still help by sharing our project with your friends, families, colleagues, churches, community groups, and social networks.
When you share, you help us reach another person who may be willing to help.
When many people come together, small acts of kindness can become a powerful movement of hope.
Our Commitment
Good Cause Foundation Uganda remains committed to working with vulnerable communities to improve children's access to education and basic needs.
Our school feeding efforts are designed not only to provide meals but also to contribute to better school attendance, concentration, participation, and retention.
We also recognize that children need more than food to succeed. They need scholastic materials, safe learning environments, encouragement, and people who believe in their potential.
That is why we continue appealing for support for school meals and essential scholastic materials as the new term progresses.
Help Us Keep the Hope Alive
To every donor who has already answered our call, thank you.
To those considering supporting us for the first time, welcome to this journey.
And to those who have supported us before and may be able to stand with us again, we are deeply grateful for your continued partnership.
Together, we can help ensure that hunger does not stand between a child and their education.
Together, we can put food on the table, smiles on children's faces, and hope in their hearts.
Together, we can help children walk into their classrooms with confidence and say:
“I am ready to learn. I have a future.”
From the children, families, teachers, and communities we serve, thank you for hearing our cries, believing in our work, and choosing to stand with us.
As Term III begins, we kindly ask you to continue supporting our school feeding project.
Your generosity can help turn hunger into hope, meals into motivation, and school attendance into a pathway toward a brighter future.
Thank you for feeding a child today and helping build a better tomorrow.
