I would like to share an update on school fees support for the children under our orphanage program. Attached is a photo of these precious boys and girls—each one with a story of courage, resilience, and hope for a brighter future.
The children in this program are orphans who are either affected by or living with HIV/AIDS. Because of their circumstances, access to stable education is not just important—it is life-changing. School provides them with structure, protection, encouragement, and the confidence to dream beyond their current challenges. Thanks to the American Foundation for Children with AIDS's continued support, many of these children have been able to remain in school without interruption. This consistency is critical. When school fees are paid on time, the children are able to attend classes regularly, focus on their studies, and grow academically and emotionally ... without the fear of being sent home or falling behind.
Education is opening doors for them: It restores dignity and a sense of belonging, It equips them with knowledge and life skills, It gives them hope for a self-reliant and productive future. However, the need remains ongoing. As school terms progress, we continue to face the challenge of meeting full school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and related costs to ensure that every child in our care learns in a safe, uninterrupted environment. AFCA'S partnership is helping to rewrite their stories—from vulnerability to opportunity, from uncertainty to promise. We are deeply grateful for your compassion and commitment to standing with these children and investing in their future.
Thank you for believing in them, and for making education possible. The team here at the American Foundation for Children with AIDS thanks you for supporting this project and the work we do for the children in Africa. If you would like to learn even more about what we do or how you can meet some of the children you have helped, please contact Tanya Weaver at tweaver@AFCAids.org.
