Project Report | Dec 10, 2018
School construction 16

By Mabwe Lucien | Project Leader

Glenn Paige Nonkilling School pupils are in full academic exams in the first quarter of the 2018-2019 school year. Christmas holidays are approaching in a tense social and political climate in our region.

Indeed, the electoral campaign for the presidential and legislative has already begun. Voting is scheduled for December 23, 2018. Opposition political parties are not united. Some oppose the proposed voting system (use of the voting machine) and others have accepted it.

In this controversy, the population is perplexed and an armed group launched a sporadic attack in a village not far from Kazimia. However, until now everything remains calm.

The rain is intense in our region and is destructive; this hinders the good progress of construction. Some cement bags are to be replaced damaged by water.

We thank the Mwami (King) of Basikalangwa (large clan gathering the populations of the Center and South of the Territory of Fizi) who visited the site of the School and who promised to invest so that the tap can work in the best deadlines. He added: "Glenn Paige Nonkilling School est un immense projet pour un monde meilleur”. This French sentence means in English that Glenn Paige Nonkilling School is a huge project for a better world.

We thank our various friends around the world for their support of our project. A project that consists of building and completing a pioneering nonkilling school in our region.

Dear friends, let us reach together this noble goal and thank you for your suggestions.

Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year to All!
