School construction (18)

By Mabwe Lucien | Project Leader

School Construction (18)

The conflict situation and wars between the Bantu peoples (Wanyindu, Wafulero and Babembe) on the one hand and Banyamulenge (Congolese Tutsi) on the other hand endure on the middle and high plateaus of Fizi. At 80 km from  Kazimia region, several villages are burned, entire populations are on the run, some have found refuge in Kazimia.

In Kazimia, the children are studying peacefully and moving slowly towards the end of the school year. The big holidays are waiting  them!

As for the construction, it is progressing well, the concreting of walls is finished and it is followed by a slight elevation of the walls. Boards are purchased and assembled for structural (frame) work.

« Comme les planches vient de loin (de la région de Talama, à plus de 50 km), dit le Directeur de l’Ecole, nous les amenons au fur et à mesure, pour la charpente » ; this French sentence means in English  "As the boards come from far away (from the region of Talama, more than 50 km), says the Headmaster, we bring them gradually, for the frame".

Dear nonkilling Friends, we thank you for your generous donations that are preparing a new world, a nonkilling society. But your donations also value human dignity for our region, which is suffering the horrendous atrocities of war.

What a joy to receive more donations for us to achieve our goals: healthy study halls for children victims of the war!

No more killing!

Nonkilling Culture crosses all lines.
