School construction

By MABWE Lucien | Project Leader

The construction of Glenn Paige Nonkilling School is progressing well. The first block building has large rooms, large windows and airy. The location is superb, far from the noise of the village and offers a perfect setting for learning. We are surround the site by a hedgerow trees.

At the day of the end of school year , 2013-2014 ,on July 2, a crowd of people came to attend the ceremony and took the opportunity to visit our site. Among the visitors, Ms. Neema Celestine, grandmother of a 4th form student exclaimed : "Byumba bya masomo byachunda na byachelela" Kibembe language spoken at Kazimia that means in English "Rooms are spacious and suitable for our children."

At present, we are out of stock equipment. We are buying bricks, cement in large quantities (20,000 bricks, 30 bags of cement) at Uvira (large regional supply center) for a good return transport costs. We expect to receive this material by mid-October at Kazimia.

We thank our Donors for allowing us to build this school dedicated to peace. Nonviolence course taught at school makes a difference in the region. Even the armed group Yakutumba , active in the region, speak for it with respect.
We thank also Global Giving for excellent and humanitarian work he does.
Thanks to you for joy, love and life bursting out at Kazimia.

Your suggestions and ideas to improve our work are welcome. Thank you to all.
