Project Report | Apr 4, 2016
School construction (7)

By Lucien Mabwe | Project Leader

Since the old times  of  the dawn of humanity until this 21st century of  advances of technology , the simplest and most important challenge of  the world is how men can live in peace without killing each other.

Wars, assassinations,  terrorist attacks are sowing terror.

This issue is of particular emphasis in the African Great Lakes Region (Burundi, DR Congo and Rwanda) where these countries suffer repetitive cycles of violence. The last three decades the region has experienced  with more than 7 million killed with a peak of genocide in Rwanda in 1994.

In response to this concern of humanity , Glenn Paige Nonkilling School was created to teach  from early age a new spirit of nonkilling through the children who experienced the horrors of war.

Since 2006, more than 2,000 children received education directed towards the nonkilling.  This pioneering  nonkilling school is  the seed of nonkilling across the region and Africa.

The study conditions are improving and certainly the new buildings under construction (currently finishing the walls) will sustain this course and will survive us.

A member of the Parents Committee of the School  said "Watu  wote wangalipenda nonkilling  na Kutuma watoto hapa wote  ku Masomo , tungekuwa na amani '. This kiswahili sentence means ‘If everyone could join in nonkilling and send  his children to our school, we will live in peace’.

Our donors, our future donors, Center for Global Nonkilling Organisation,  GlobalGiving Foundation are proud to prepare a way for a better world without killings and make possible an African Great Lakes free of  killings.

Your  names will be forever etched on the walls of Glenn Paige Nonkilling School. History will record   your nobles achievements . You  dare !

Wonderful ! Congratulations !

Thank you  our nonkilling colleagues   for  suggestions to improve our work.
