Project Report | Sep 30, 2016
School construction 9

By Mabwe Lucien | Project Leader

The new school year 2016-2017 took place there two weeks ago at Glenn Paige Nonkilling School / Kazimia. It’s another year of hard work and success in a political and security context undecided in the country and particularly in our region where armed groups are active.

The school welcomed 52 new students  and postponed the opening of the new class ( 6th form) for next year. The teaching staff has remained stable. The two-week stay of Mleci coordinator  ( Project Leader) at the school has an overall evaluation of activities on the following points : administrative organization, general education courses and  nonkilling course, financial situation (profitability of the boat), evolution in pupil enrollment, contribution of the local community ,teachers stability and construction of new buildings.

 The results were deemed satisfactory.

As regards construction, it now begins after the storage period of buildings materials. The local community is actively involved in this activity for the school to move forward and that through it many people can become aware of the need for peace.

This, joins the thought of on officer in Congolese army in charge of security in the region who said “kuwa na shule lenye  linafundisha amani ni muzuri sana. Sote tunaweza kuleta amani katika maeneo  yetu “

This sentence in Kiswahili means "To have a school join us by teaching  nonkilling  and maintaining peace is excellent. Together we can restore peace in the region ".

Dear beloved, with your continued support, this project will achieve its objectives, namely to study the children victims of war  in good conditions.

Thank you our nonkilling friends for suggestions to improve our work.

Best wishes.
