The PFK 2019 Myanmar Mission Trip is completed and was a great success!
Our team of 6 volunteers from the U.S. made the annual trip to Yangon to deliver our gifts of backpacks filed with school supplies and a school uniform to 510 children in the Yangon province. Working with our Myanmar Chapter Board and many local friends and volunteers, we brought these gifts to 3 orphan homes, 2 monastic nunneries and 1 local community school over a two-day period.
All of our children either are orphans or come from families who earn approximarely USD $1 per day. The cost of one school uniform is roughly 1/3 of the monthly income for most of our families. So our gifts are well-needed and very much appreciated!
