The Children’s Museum Jordan – how we manage during times of crisis:
A huge thank you for your kindness and support in choosing our unique project from so many other wonderful causes. As we work to re-launch our Beyond Museum Walls project, and as we adapt to the changes forced on our organization by the COVID-19 pandemic, your donation is contributing directly to our work in shaping and launching the Beyond Museum Walls Project. Your kind donation has also given us a much-needed boost in morale and the confidence to keep going – thank you!
The Children’s Museum Jordan receives hundreds of thousands of children annually and 50% of our beneficiaries visit us under free or subsidized programs. In a country like Jordan, even the lowest of admission fees can be a lot for so many families. The Museum’s mission is: to make learning fun for all and we work very hard to make sure that we reach as many children as possible by either facilitating their visits to the Museum or physically going to them and delivering our fun learning.
Naturally and like so many museums around the world, our Museum was hit very hard by COVID-19 with extended closure periods which directly affected our internal revenues that usually contribute to sustaining our organization. We are unstoppable though and will not let this situation slow us down and are working harder than ever on making sure that when the time comes, we will be able to go back to delivering our unique educational experience to more and more children than ever!
The Beyond Museum Walls Project
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have not been able to visit any children in hospitals or refugees camps. We seek your understanding of the current limitations and promise you that the amount your kindly donated is being saved in our fund to launch the project again as soon as the health situation allows.
We hope that you will be glad to know that we used the time, to adapt and improve the content of our science shows, develop four whole new shows and train more members of our team on delivering them. This way, the minute we get the green light to go on visits again, we will be fully ready! Our donors and supporters will continue to receive updates and will hear from us as soon as we are able to go on the road again.
In the meantime, every dollar counts and will help us reach our goal so please share this great cause with your friends, colleagues and family. Every contribution will make sure that not only are our content and team ready but that we have the funding to go on as many visits as possible. Thank you so much in advance and please stay safe during these very exceptional times!
