Altos de Cazuca, in Soacha, is a community of high level vulnerability, particularly given that is one of the areas which received the most displaced people due to the armed conflict. Marginalisation and exclusion has characterized its population, contributing to the lack of opportunities that affect children and young people in particularly, by prematurely living with poverty and violence as their reality. Today, 22% of arts and sports practice are cancelled due to weather and violence.
By providing the community of Altos de Cazuca with the construction of a dome, we will allow more than 1500 children to practice sports and arts away from the violence of gangs, away from natural risks, and away from the dangerous of a community that is recognized as one of the most violent in the suburbs of the capital city in Bogota.
For the next month, we're inviting donors to comit with building a safe place for children in need. Clik on this link and help us build a dome - a polygonal closed building shaped as a sphere - where all sports and arts activities will be able to take place no matter weather or community threads, enabling 1500 children develop Like Skills in a safe and positive environment. The best part? The structure looks like a football!
