The Segundo Tiempo –Acompaña la Jugada project, aims to offer children and young adults from Cazucá a variety of activities where they can enjoy themselves, having both fun and healthy enriching experiences.
Through these activities we undertake processes that aim to strengthen participants and to help them deal with the risks they face in their surrounding environment and also work along side them so that they see themselves as agents of change within their families, schools and communities.
Thus we have undertaken this new path to reach children and young adults through play and knowledge of music and theatre, hopping that the kids not only learn thought these activities but also dream up a future where their passions may be part of their Jobs and livelihood.
The Fundación Tiempo de Juego’s Segundo Tiempo, Acompaña la Jugada project is funded by Children of the Andes, (COTA) who has been working since 1991 to support vulnerable children in Colombia, who face the daily challenges of poverty and violence. Thanks to the organizations work, tens of thousands of children have gained the education, healthcare and specialist support they need to build happier, more fulfilling lives. The estate agency Agencia Presidencial Para la Cooperación Internacional- APC has also supported and funded this new endeavor.
Presently the Tiempo de Juego Staff is promoting its theatre and music workshops in local schools and have had a warm and excited response from girls, boys and young adults.
Workshops for 110 children and Young men and women who live in Cazuca begin august 1.
