Sports for 5000 Colombian kids' dreams

Tiempo de Juego, in partnership with the non-profit organization Colombianitos, has been selected by the FIFA to participate in the Football for Hope Festival that will take place in Rio de Janeiro in July 2014^th. Organizations of 100 countries around the world applied to this program and, according to their social merits and community working experience, only 32 were chosen to make part of this event. The festival’s main goal is to create a scenario of cultural and social exchange where different non-profit organizations will be able to share their experiences and present the positive social impact their own work has had in various communities.

For a whole week, the young community leaders, selected by each organization, will be the core of the program, participating in cultural and sports activities where they will have the opportunity to meet each other and work as a group. During the last days of the festival, a soccer tournament, based on values such as respect, team work and solidarity, will be played between the different organizations’ team.

It is thanks to you that Tiempo de Juego has had the opportunity to participate and therefore make some of the children’s’ dream come true. With your support, each of our sporting team has improved its quality and has upscale its coverage, now benefiting, as a whole, around 2500 children and youth from two vulnerable communities in Colombia. Nowadays, all our children and youth receive an important technical and psycho-social training, which uses sports to form them as principal transforming social agents.
