Seasons of Giving: Ramadan Campaign

By cvc Fundraising | Project Leader

Ramadan is always a time when needs feel heavier, but so does the sense of responsibility to show up for communities who rely on this support. This year, although only $70 was raised through GlobalGiving, we were still able to carry out meaningful Ramadan distributions thanks to additional funding secured specifically for these efforts.

Throughout the month, our teams worked across Lebanon and Syria, reaching families in areas such as Mount Lebanon, Tripoli, Beirut, Saida, the Bekaa, and parts of rural Damascus, Homs, and Al Qussair. The focus remained simple but essential: making sure families had food on their tables and could experience Ramadan with a sense of dignity.

Most of the support came in the form of food parcels distributed on a “one per family” basis. These parcels were carefully prepared to cover basic needs during the month and were delivered to hundreds of families, including Lebanese households, Syrian refugees, and Palestinian communities. In

North Lebanon, distributions reached Palestinian families who continue to face particularly difficult living conditions, while in Syria, support extended to communities in Daraya, Homs, and surrounding areas where access to consistent food supplies remains a challenge.

In addition to food parcels, we organized community iftars. These gatherings took place in locations such as North Lebanon and Beirut, bringing people together to break their fast in a shared space. For many, these meals were not only about food but about reconnecting with a sense of normalcy and community during a difficult time.

Some distributions also included additional forms of seasonal support, including water provision and Eid clothing for children. These smaller but targeted interventions helped address specific gaps within different communities.

Across all Ramadan activities, we were able to support thousands of individuals by combining resources, coordinating across teams, and prioritizing the areas with the greatest need.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed and followed this project. Your support, no matter the amount, was part of making these efforts possible.
