With your ongoing support, SeeBeyondBorders is working to achieve its mission of improving quality teaching and learning in rural Cambodian Primary schools.
From the beginning of the project, your support has assisted 42 students from financially vulnerable families with the resources needed to go to school and stay in school.
Throughout this reporting period the average attendance rate was 95% which has exceeded our target of 80%. Another cash payment was made in May to students in three schools.
The team have been working closely with the Ministry of Education and it has been agreed that the Ministry will take over supporting these students in the next school academic year. The work of the project is almost complete but important training with parents will continue regarding child protection and safeguarding.
Your regular support over the last five years has meant that many children have gone to school and stayed in school despite their circumstances. This is a great success with the Ministry now support these families moving forward.
Thank you for supporting the educational journey of these children
Our work continues and our plan is to move into new areas supporting teachers and communities. We know that education raises families and communities out of poverty and quality education is needed now more than ever. Providing a quality education is a powerful vehicle for change.
We want teachers to love teaching and children to love learning.
