By the beginning of January, we followed up the teaching progress of the project teachers through channels such as community reminders and one-to-one understanding.
In November and December, through the feedback of teachers on the platform and the interaction in the community, we also saw the wonderful moments of mental literacy class!
2. Visited 18 schools offline
In order to better serve the teachers of the Academy of Mind Magic, understand the teachers' implementation of the new curriculum materials, the feedback of teachers and students on the curriculum, and understand the needs of individual teachers through interviews, the project will be updated and iterated, and the project will start the individual teacher visit in the fall semester of 2024 in November.
In November, a total of 7 staff members went to Hunan, Jiangsu, Shanxi, Shandong, Guangdong and Hebei provinces, visited 18 schools, and had offline exchanges with more than 30 teachers. During this time, we audited many real and vivid mental literacy lessons brought by teachers, and had in-depth exchanges with teachers on the use of the Rici manual, classroom feedback from teachers and students, and teachers' mental education work. Through offline connection and interaction, we understand each other and feel each other more emotionally.
3.Fall Semester 2024 Teacher telephone interview Volunteer program
In order to follow up the progress of the teachers in this semester, further understand the teachers' teaching feedback, and also hope to open a window for more people to learn about the Academy of Spiritual Magic through volunteer activities, Rici launched a volunteer activity of telephone interview with teachers at the end of November. In this activity, 44 volunteers completed one-on-one interviews with 222 teachers. We held an online camp closing ceremony on December 17 to review the interview results with the volunteers.
4.Carry out online class evaluation activities
In order to improve the teaching quality of mental health education in schools in the county and promote exchanges between counties, the Rici Foundation specially invited a number of experienced Rici teachers from different counties to enter the classroom of Longsheng Primary School on December 9 to carry out a class evaluation activity. In the activity, the guests carefully watched the teaching of excellent teachers, and made in-depth comments and guidance according to the actual situation, praised the highlights, pointed out the shortcomings, and gave suggestions for improvement. In addition, the activity also promoted the exchange of teachers, who exchanged excellent teaching methods and skills with each other.
5.Offline teacher training
Initial training
In December, senior teachers in Jianghua, Hunan Province were trained as initial training teachers of Rici, and brought relevant training in mental health theory and practice,Rici curriculum experiential learning, simulation classes, etc., to help teachers better understand the relevant theories of psychology. In the next school year, we will bring higher teaching quality to our classrooms.
Advanced training
From November 25 to 26, Qiaojia County Mashu Town mental health education project carried out offline advanced teaching and research training for this academic year, a total of 41 teachers in Mashu Town participated, and 9 teachers were selected by Qiaojia County mental health Master Studio to watch and learn. Through the mental education teacher energy gas station, teachers' mental education energy is promoted, teachers' teaching enthusiasm is enhanced, and more and more teachers are empowered to become models from mental health education practitioners. The overall satisfaction rate of this training was 9.3/10, among which, the topics of "positive feedback" (73.3%) and "demonstration lesson and discussion" (80%) in teaching were the areas where the participating teachers gained a lot of feedback, and 95.6% of the participating teachers reported that they were more motivated and confident to carry out mental literacy activities.
6.The 11th teachers' Book Club started smoothly
On December 27, the 11th book club was successfully opened, with 114 teachers participating in the reading of Martin Seligman's True Happiness.
Rci invited Zhou Ting, a senior teacher from the Institute of Spiritual Magic, as the leader of this reading group. In this half month, she accompanied everyone through "Real Happiness" to explore the mysteries of positive psychology, cultivate positive emotions, establish strong relationships, discover personal advantages and virtues, and finally achieve the peak of lasting self-realization: the meaning and purpose of life!
7.The 24 year short range focus therapy group successfully closed
Since 2021, in order to better respond to the teachers' needs for the advancement of students' psychological work, Rici has launched the Help Technology co-learning activity, which continues to this day according to the pace of an annual session. In this process, teachers have not only gained knowledge, but also gained warmth and healing beyond knowledge.
This year, we upgraded the Help Technology Group and officially launched a new short-range Focus Therapy co-learning Group, which gives the 18 program teachers richer, easier to use techniques and a more practical psychological counseling framework support. In the five-week short range Focus therapy online co-learning activity, the teacher participated in the online co-learning activity every Thursday, and formed a three-person group to complete the practice in the middle of the week. All the members participated in the practice and feedback punching, and successfully conducted the last co-learning and camp on December 26.
