Hello Everyone,
We have been busy here at Piedmont Wildlife Center the past few months! We just wrapped up our fall seasons of Homeschool in the Wild and Afterschool, opened registration for Summer 2024, and are currently running winter camps at Leigh Farm Park.
This time of year always feels special when it comes to camp: the short, cold days always foster a great sense of teamwork and community as counselors and campers have to work together to stay warm. Sharing is abundant, whether it be an extra pair of gloves or spare tinder that was found in the woods.
Generosity is an extraordinary thing that can be hard to come by, and we are lucky enough to get to see it in action not just from the campers, but from donors like you! This school year, we have been able to provide $3759 in scholarships, allowing us to connect 12 children to nature with more than 750 hours of programming.
Thank you for all that you do to help us include as many campers as we can in our programs. We are so grateful for everything you do - our work would not be possible without your belief and support. I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together in the summer season!
Best,
The Piedmont Wildlife Center Team
