End of Year Fundraising at Ocean Academy

We love our sponsors!!

The 2023-2024 academic school year is flying by and the Ocean Academy (OA) students and teachers are working hard as they get ready to say "Farewell!" to 2023 and "Welcome!" to 2024.

Thanks to YOU, our End of Year Fundraising is in full swing and we are making great progress toward our goals.

OA Sponsorship Program

We currently have enough funding to cover 36 sponsorships.
We hope to fund another 10 student sponsorships. ($6000 USD)

OA Lunch Program

The Lunch Program has $2000 USD so far.
This online GlobalGiving fundraiser was led by a Dr. Lori, who is moving to CC this month. Her passions are nutrition, wellness and yoga. We currently have 12 students on our list. $2000 USD will feed 12 students for 33 school days, about 7 weeks. That gets us to mid-January.
We will continue to fundraise in an effort to keep this program alive.

Buy a Block to Keep our Feet Dry Program

Our holiday fundraising continues with our "Buy a Block" campaign.
Living on a tiny island holds many challenges. One of those challenges is the ongoing battle against rising water levels.
After a rain, we have a problem with standing water right against the front of the building. The water rises high enough to go into 3 classrooms and the main office.
We want put a small dam at the bottom of the classroom doors to block the water and we want to fill in the area outside of the rooms with cement blocks so that we can navigate ABOVE the water.
We need approximately 900 cement blocks for this project.
Please BUY A BLOCK to help Ocean Academy students and teachers keep their feet dry.
One block = $2 USD.
