Education remains a fundamental pillar of societal growth and transformation. At Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation (SOHF), we are committed to ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds receive quality education. Through our “Send a Child in Nigeria to School for a Year” initiative, we continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners. This report highlights our progress, achievements, and partnerships in the past quarter.
Achievements in Education
1. Sponsorship and School Support:
With the $1,473.82 received from GlobalGiving, we provided tuition support, school supplies, and learning materials to 40 youth and 7 children in underserved communities.
We facilitated enrollment and retention of students in primary and secondary schools and certificate program, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their education.
2. Scholarship and Capacity Building:
We established scholarship opportunities for outstanding students, focusing on those who show academic promise but face financial constraints.
SOHF is in active partnership with the European Business University of Luxembourg (EBU) to offer access to professional certificate courses for youths and educators.
As a partner organization, the students are on scholarship. The organization only pays a non-refundable Application/Commitment Fee of €35 for each student. The total students enrolled amount to 40, with a total cost of €1,355.16 ($1,400).
These EBU Certificate Impact Program Courses, each valued at €740, provide training in essential skills such as Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Financial Markets, and Leadership.
3. Key Training Programs Under EBU Partnership:
Social Media Literacy Seminar (SML101)
Business Management (w/ AI Integration) (CP100)
Strategic Management (w/ AI Implementation) (CP304)

SOHF Global Harmony School (Learning Oasis®) – Technical and Vocational Formation
Great Entrepreneurial Skills Actualization Hub (GESAH®) – Entrepreneurial Development
5. Community Engagement and Advocacy:
We continued to raise awareness about the importance of education through community forums, parents' workshops, and digital campaigns.
Engaged local stakeholders, including school administrators and policymakers, to foster a conducive learning environment for children.

Administrative and logistics support for scholarship programs: $1,400
Community outreach and advocacy efforts: $153.82
Total Money Spent: $1,703.82

Challenges and Recommendations
Limited Funding: The number of children needing assistance exceeds available resources. More partnerships and donations are needed to expand our impact.
Digital Access for Learning: Many students lack access to digital tools necessary for participating in EBU’s online courses. Expanding our reach with digital literacy initiatives is a priority.
Scaling Scholarship Opportunities: While the EBU program is a great opportunity, the €35 non-refundable application/commitment fee may be a challenge for some students. We seek additional funding to support eligible candidate
Conclusion and Next Steps
The past quarter has been marked by progress in expanding educational access, skills development, and fostering meaningful partnerships. Moving forward, we aim to:
Enroll more students in our scholarship and school support programs.
Strengthen our collaboration with EBU to ensure more students benefit from the certificate courses.
Increase fundraising efforts to cover tuition, digital learning access, and administrative costs.
We extend our gratitude to GlobalGiving, our donors, and partners for making this impact possible. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for Nigerian children through education.
Best regards,
Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation
