High school students Holiday and School update

By Rose Bugusu | Director

It has been a short holiday for our high school students, especially for those preparing for their national examinations. We were grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with them during the break, hear about their studies, and learn more about their experiences at school.

We are very encouraged by the progress many of our students are making. Their performance has been promising, and we are hopeful that, by the end of the year, we will have much to celebrate. We currently support 62 high school students, and we are happy to report that all of them have returned to school. We did not have any cases or challenges that prevented them from going back to school.

One of the greatest encouragements this year has been seeing our students remain in school throughout the second semester because they had all the requirements they needed. Having their school fees and other essential needs taken care of has given them stability and allowed them to concentrate on their studies. We strongly believe that this is contributing significantly to their academic performance and overall well-being.

There are truly no words sufficient to express our gratitude on behalf of these students. Many of them were once described as destitute and vulnerable, but today they are in school, hopeful about their future, and experiencing positive changes in their lives. Your support is helping to restore their dignity, build their confidence, and give them opportunities they may otherwise never have had.

We are especially looking forward to next month, when our candidates will begin their national examinations. We kindly ask you to continue praying for them as they prepare, that God will give them wisdom, strength, peace, and confidence as they sit for their exams.

As we approach the end of the year, we are also preparing for the coming school year. We already have many files for vulnerable children who are in need of educational support. We humbly ask you to consider sharing the work of Tumaini with your family and friends, especially during your meetings and gatherings. By sharing their stories and the work being done, you may help us reach other children who are waiting for an opportunity to go to school and build a better future.

We are grateful for your continued partnership, prayers, and support. Together, we are giving children hope and creating opportunities for a brighter future. We look forward to sharing more updates with you as the year progresses.
